Reports of UFO’s are not odd – they happen all the time and are frequently reported by local media (check Google news for recent UFO reports). What’s unusual is that it was picked up by national media, but why only Fox? Officials at Wright-Patterson AFB say it wasn’t them (but would they admit to a secret military project?). Or, could it have been a hoax by the government to divert attention from what they’re doing? It’s been documented that real Men in Black did take advantage of interest in UFO’s to put out false information. For example, ‘Mysterious cattle mutilations in 1970s New Mexico turn out to have been officials furtively investigating radiation in livestock after they’d conducted an ill-advised experiment in underground “nuclear fracking”.’
So, who knows. It seems to me that a lot about UFO’s, including the government’s taking advantage of popular interest in the subject, is under reported. Had anyone heard of nuclear fracking before? Scary stuff. Blaming cattle mutilation on ET to discredit interest in what was really going on may have worked.
As a final note, reports of the government use of false UFO reports for its own purposes has been offered as proof that UFO’s are not extraterrestrial. Sorry, that’s not logical. That fact that most are not does not mean that none are.
